At Campbell Dental Practice, we use state-of-the-art technology to make sure our patients receive the quality care that they deserve. We have integrated advanced dental equipment into everyday practice to ensure that your diagnosis and treatment is efficient and accurate.
Conebeam CT Scan
Understanding your dental care means getting the best possible image of your oral health. We do this by using cone beam imaging technology to take a 3D image of your entire mouth. This is the latest in digital x-ray technology and provides our staff with a clearer, more detailed picture, which is invaluable during dental examinations. With CBCT technology we can produce 3D images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways and bone in a single scan. These scans produce instantaneous images, with less radiation, allowing us to pin-point the problems more easily, provide you with a more accurate diagnosis, and give more thorough treatment plans.
Same Day Cerec Crowns
There are obviously better experiences than having a dental crown placed. We can make it easier and more pleasant with our Cerec same day crowns, if you ever need one. The advantages with Cerec crowns include:
- No unpleasant gooey impression material: an intraoral camera accurately captures your teeth and transfers this information to a computer
- No bothersome temporary crown: you walk out with your definitive crown
- No inconvenient second appointment: saves you taking more time off work for the crown insert
- Long term stability: with the improvement in technology and materials, you can rely on the quality of the crowns to last you many years. The technology also gives us comfort to provide you a 10 year warranty for the crowns we make.
Digital intraoral radiographs (xrays)
With our routine examination xrays being digital, the amount of radiation required to produce good quality images is considerably low. This does not compromise our ability to provide you an optimum diagnosis. It is now estimated that the amount of radiation per examination is equivalent to the radiation exposure in a flight between Melbourne and Sydney, or less than day spent at the beach in Australia.
These allow us to show your mouth “through our eyes”. It empowers you to make informed decisions about your dental health.
